Supervisor Nikki Fortunato Bas said, “Our beautiful East Bay region gifts us with incredible natural wonders. With this gift comes significant responsibility to keep ourselves and our environment as safe as possible – given our major earthquake faults, wildland urban interface/wildfire hazard, and growing climate impacts on the land, sea and weather. Together, we can ensure our community is connected and prepared in the event of a natural disaster.”
“The Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) is committed to providing residents with the tools they need to make their homes safer before disaster strikes,” said Alameda County Fire Department Chief William McDonald. “Preparation is key to keeping families safe.”
