What to Know About the November 2026 Election

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3! Do you have a plan to vote?

Our commitment

Every voter has the right to vote safely, securely, and free from intimidation or corruption. Me and my colleagues, from the municipal to the state and federal levels, have been proactively communicating and updating clear protocols with each other to protect this right.

While we do not anticipate any changes to our election processes at this time, we will continue monitoring in case of any issues we may need to identify and respond to – with clear and thorough legal and operational responses coordinating across levels of government – so that eligible voters can vote and their votes are counted.

Most importantly, California provides a variety of ways to vote. Those of us who have the right to vote can and should make a plan on how we would like to submit our ballot. We can even go turn in our ballots together alongside friends, family and neighbors. We got this!

Why vote

  • Having the right to vote is a privilege that not everyone in our community has.
  • If we don’t vote, then others with oppositional interests may very likely continue voting and attempting to undermine our inherent power. The choice is ours: stay on the sidelines, or keep fighting.
  • With the skyrocketing cost of groceries, gas and rent, we literally can’t afford to sit on the sidelines.

We can and must encourage every registered voter to keep fighting for our democracy and making our voices heard. Share this page with five people and encourage them to share with others!

How and when to vote

Voting early helps the Registrar of Voters run as smooth of an election as possible. That’s why we all get together with friends, family and neighbors to make our plan to vote ASAP.

Whether you already got your ballot in the mail or are waiting for it: make sure you set aside time to vote on or before Election Day (Tuesday, November 3). You have several options:

  • Vote by Mail: If you choose to mail your ballot, we recommend mailing it back as soon as possible after you receive it, or at least 7 days before Election Day on 10/27: to avoid any potential postal delays. After 10/27, consider returning it in person at a drop box location, or head into your local United States Post Office and request a hand-stamped postmark.

Find all of your options to vote at CAEarlyVoting.sos.ca.gov. Also sign up to track your ballot by email, phone or text: http://WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov
